Wood-smoked barbecue done on the premises, a variety of side dishes, and homemade desserts – what else do you need? Add to that outdoor dining overlooking a private airstrip and you have a unique NC dining experience. The Pik-N-Pig has pulled pork, smoked beef brisket, smoked chicken and a variety of sandwiches. On Saturday after 5:30, you can get ribs if you have called in to reserve them. Those are usually spoken for by Saturday morning. It is a great place for families, friends, pretty much for anyone except vegetarians, although they do have a mean pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes and fried pickles from time to time. Limited beer and wine. Live music some Friday nights.
