Pete’s Restaurant in Carthage, NC reminds me of diners we used to go to as a kid. With good food and a fun atmosphere, it’s no surprise that Pete’s is a local favorite. They’ve made a reputation for themselves by having exceptionally friendly service and for serving filling homemade Southern dishes.
They don’t have a website to check for updates. Instead, diners just check the daily board when they arrive for the specials of the day. During your meal, don’t be surprised if Pete stops by your table to check in on your dining experience. All the waitstaff, but especially Pete, seems to really care about the customers.
We recommended trying the fried chicken, fried okra, and black-eyed peas, but whatever you decide to get is sure to be delicious!
