Our Top 4 Favorite Patios in Moore County, NC
Spring is in full swing, which means it’s time to take your dining experience outdoors! There are many restaurants in Moore County that offer patio dining, and we wanted to share our top 4 favorites.
4. The Bell Tree Tavern – Southern Pines, NC
The Bell Tree Tavern is a locally owned sports bar right in the heart of downtown Southern Pines. Their patio area is more hidden away than most, making it a good environment for conversation without constant interruptions and excessive noise. The crowd at Bell Tree tends to be a bit younger, so it has a more casual and relaxed vibe. They also have live music on the weekends.
3. Rhett’s Restaurant – Southern Pines, NC
Rhett’s in downtown Southern Pines serves fresh, delicious farm-to-table food in a casual atmosphere. The courtyard is tucked away from the road, but you can still people and traffic watch, and there’s a nice fountain that gives it a relaxed feel.
2. The Pik-n-Pig – Carthage, NC
For great wood-smoked barbecue, head to Pik-n-Pig in Carthage. Their patio/outdoor dining area is one of our favorites because you can watch the airplanes land and take off while you eat. During the summer, you can also listen to live music on Fridays. It’s a good family atmosphere, and there is plenty of space for kids to run around without having to worry about them running into traffic or other people.
1. Ironwood – Pinehurst, NC
Ironwood in Pinehurst takes the #1 patio spot on our list because of how extremely pleasant the atmosphere is. The patio overlooks the fountain and garden, and you can watch the wildlife and nature while enjoying a delectable meal. Since Ironwood is more of a fine dining establishment, it tends to be quieter, more intimate, and peaceful than the other patio areas on our list.
No matter which patio you choose to dine on in Moore County, you’ll be able to take in the wonderful sights and sounds of the Sandhills.
