Broad Street Bakery & Cafe is a cozy eatery in Downtown Southern Pines. We’ve been in several times to pick up various baked goods (their cinnamon rolls are amazing!), but the last time we were waiting in line, the person in front of us started to rave about the food they had just eaten.

We decided that we wanted to check it out for ourselves, so we ordered a burger (server’s recommendation) and a reuben sandwich. The bistro-style burger came with brie cheese on a delicious roll that was full of flavor. The reuben was also flavorful and they didn’t scrimp on the meat. Both the sandwich and the burger came with a fresh salad, and they really hit the spot.

If you decide to eat there, there is a small dining room and a perfect place outside to people watch while enjoying your food. Owners Steve and Jackie Grasso are graduates of the Culinary Institute of America, and their food expertise comes through in the meals. We will definitely be back!
