CLOSED: The Grotto Grille – Southern Pines, NC

The Grotto Grille is a hidden gem in the heart of Southern Pines, NC. While this seafood restaurant is a little hard to find, you’ll know that you’re there when you see the big shark out front. This local favorite has a friendly atmosphere with a sports themed TV bar area. With a spacious interior and ample seating at the bar, you’ll easily find seating whether you go alone or with a group.  When the weather is nice, patrons can enjoy outside dining as well.

The Grotto is well-known for their crab cakes, but everything on the menu is delicious. When we went, we had the fish tacos and shrimp po-boy.  Both were fresh and flavorful, and we highly recommend giving them a try.  The entrees at The Grotto are sizeable and filling, so you won’t have to choose between breaking the bank and leaving hungry. It’s a great stop if you’re looking for a high-quality seafood restaurant with a relaxed environment.
