Rudino’s Pizza & Grinders just opened on Pinehurst Ave in Southern Pines where The Grotto used to be. They’re all about pizza, calzones, grinders (a combination of meats, cheese, and vegetables served on freshly-baked bread), and upscale bar grub. There are plenty of TVs by the bar to watch the game and an outdoor seating area to dine on when the weather is nice.
When we went, we had the flatbread with chicken, a burger with avocado, and a grinder. The flatbread is very spicy, so be sure to ask your server to describe the menu item you choose. The burger is “extra napkin” juicy, and the grinder is huge and filling.
They offer dine in service, carry out, and delivery, so you have plenty of ordering options. They also have events from time to time, so check online before you go.

We LOVE the new RUDINO’S. Their salads are huge and so far our favorite has been the BBQ Chicken pizza and the Sophia (which has spinach, chicken, tomato and feta._YUM.) Oh and the calzone was large enough for two people. Our friends had the wings and grinders and they said the wings were bigger and better than Buffalo Wild Wings. We WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK!
