Scott’s Table in Southern Pines, NC just opened, and we went to check it out. They just started to serve dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, so we stopped by to see what their dinner menu looked (and tasted!) like.
The service is great, and the food is delicious. They try to use locally sourced items whenever possible, and you can taste the freshness in every meal.
They have a full bar and great specialty cocktails that are definitely worth trying. They also have “after dinner drinks” and “after dinner drinks with a kick” for those who like a drink with their meal.
When we went, we had the pork chop, surf surf and turf burger, shrimp and grits, cheese risotto balls, crab cakes, and a cake-in-cup for dessert.
Our dining companions loved everything they had, and we did too. We will definitely be back to try them for lunch.
It was our 1st. visit there. I would not recommend it. The server is very slow and the crap cakes have a lot of filler in them.
Sorry to hear that you didn’t have a positive experience there, Debbie! Sometimes it takes a little while for new restaurants to get their footing, so hopefully they were just having an off day.
We have eaten at Scott’s Table twice for dinner. Just made a reservation for 8 for next Saturday evening. We love it. Fabulous food and good wait staff. Nice to have a good restaurant in the area
