JC’s Place only opened a month ago, but we have high hopes that they’ll be in Carthage for a very long time. They pride themselves on making delicious, healthy meals from scratch that are sure to leave you feeling more than satisfied. They offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options — just ask your server for details.

When we went, we had the chicken salad, pork ginger soup, and the spaghetti squash bowl. The marinara sauce was rustic and flavorful. We also tried the berry pie that his wife made. It was really good, so don’t skip dessert!

The owner, Jor’l Campbell, used to cook at Etalia in Southern Pines, and he used his incredible talent to open a place of his own.
