November Food Events in Moore County, NC
November is always jam-packed with food events. We’ll have two posts about events this month (one for general food events and one for Thanksgiving). This post features the regular food events. Let us know which ones you plan on attending in the comments!

November 11: Veterans Day Pig Roast
Stop by the annual Veterans Day Pig Roast at The Sly Fox. Come out and support Veterans and Active Military.
November 11: Guided Meditation & Vegetarian Pot Luck
Attend a Guided Meditation focused on Calming Emotions followed by a vegetarian pot luck. Please bring a dish to share. Please do not wear any scents.
November 11: Veterans Day Oyster Roast Fundraiser
The First Annual Veteran’s Day Oyster Roast at Southern Pines Brewery will give all proceeds to STOIC, an organization that provides a training program for transitioning Army Special Forces back to everyday life. The event will be held on Saturday, November 11 from 3pm- 8pm. There will be a silent auction, live local music by Bones Fork and Whiskey Pines, and a bouncy house for the kids.
November 12: Chili Cook Off & Freedom 5K Run
Support a local charity and taste over 20 Chili’s from individuals and local restaurants/businesses. There will be 3 categories this year…Restaurant, Backyard (non restaurant business) and Individual.
November 15: Celebrate the Apple by Elliotts on Linden
Celebrate the Apple Chef’s Dinner! 4-Course Dinner showcasing Moore County Apples. Pairing menu available featuring James Creek and Stargazer Ciders. Please call for reservations. Seating is limited.
November 17: Oyster Roast and Downeast Seafood Feast
The Oyster Roast & Down East Seafood Feast sells out every year, so get your tickets early! They bring in Keyzer’s Catering direct from Hyde County on the NC Coast. If you haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying Mark’s cooking, this is your chance.
November 18: Second Annual 90s Bar Crawl
90s bar crawl with a costume contest at Jefferson – both individual AND group.
