The highly anticipated Pinehurst Brewing Co. is officially open! We went for the official opening and were really impressed with what we saw. Great environment, delicious food, and good beer — you can’t beat it!

Chef Sean Lyons really knocked it out of the park with the menu. We had the BBQ pork with mac and cheese and collards, brisket with baked beans, fried sweet potatoes, pizza with pepperoni , grilled watermelon with prosciutto and goat cheese, and topped it all off with the s’mores skillet. The portions were sizable and everything was filling, fresh, and tasty!

The brewery is located in the old steam plant, and they did a great job keeping the old vibe alive by using lots of parts from the plant as parts of the tables and decor.

While at the opening, we ran into Danny Hayes from House of Fish in Aberdeen. We sat together and shared a few bites. He said his favorite item was the sausage, but we couldn’t just pick one thing. Guess we’ll just have to go back and try more. 🙂
