December is JAM-PACKED with interesting and entertaining events! Whether you’re looking to show off your best ugly Christmas sweater for a chance to win a prize or if you want to spend a more refined afternoon with tea, you’ll find what you’re looking for in our December food event round-up.

Since this is our last round-up for 2018, we want to know what your favorite food and/or drink event was this year! Let us know in the comments.

Without further ado, here are the events for December:

December 1: An Evening at Betsy’s
My America contest entries will be shown at an open house gallery event and art sale at Betsy’s Crepes in Southern Pines. Complimentary light snacks and wine will be served.

December 4: Ugly Sweater Contest at The Sly Fox
Search your closet and find your Ugly Christmas Sweater! Winner will receive a $100 Gift Card.

December 5: The Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at Kickback Jacks
Come one, come all to the annual “Ugly Christmas Sweater Party” at Kickback Jacks! Show off your best, because the BEST, and Ugliest Sweater will win a gift! There will be Trivia, a S’mores Station and GIFTS! Please bring in toiletries and/or a new, unwrapped toy and 2 great things will happen! 1) Your team will earn 5 points for 1 game of the night. You can choose the 1st game or the 2nd game. (1 bonus of 5 points per team) and 2) For every individual that brings in toiletries or toys, your name will be entered in the magic stocking! Names will be drawn throughout the night for presents to give to attendees. Give the Children of Moore County a Magical Christmas, enjoy the night, and play Trivia!

December 5: Long Meadow Ranch Wine Dinner
Elliotts on Linden Presents: Long Meadow Ranch Wine Dinner. Enjoy 4 courses paired with Long Meadow Ranch Wines. Special Guest: National Sales Representative for Long Meadow Ranch. Be sure to make your reservations. Seating is limited.

December 7: Supper with Santa
Join the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department for a catered dinner from Texas Roadhouse, holiday crafts, and watch Frosty the Snowman as you hang out with Santa! Tickets are on sale at the Aberdeen Recreation Center.

December 8: Southern Pines Brewing Company Speakeasy Celebration
Travel back in time to the 20’s for a Prohibition Celebration. Come and enjoy a night of bottomless drinks, live entertainment by Mint Julep, dance lesson, and light hors-d’oeuvres and desserts! Wear your most glamorous attire. The secret password will be given the day before the event to those who have purchased tickets!

December 9: 4th Annual “Day Drinking for Doggies”
Bring the pups out for Day Drinking for Doggies. 100% of the tips will be donated to Solutions for Animals (non profit, no-kill animal shelter). Come out for Christmas pet photos, an ugly pet sweater contest, raffles, adoptable pets on site, coozies, Goody Bags, and food (until gone). 1pm Panthers game as well! All pets must be on a leash and friendly.

December 9: Barre, Brews, Coats and Kids Donation Class
Barre + Beer benefiting Moore Coats 4 Moore Kids Coat Drive at Pinehurst Brewing Co., Moore County’s hottest new Microbrewery. Experience Pure Barre’s total body workout, then stay to hang out and enjoy amazing craft beer and community, all for a great cause!

December 9: Southern Angel Donut Co. Holiday Food Drive
It’s the 1-year anniversary of Southern Angel Donut Co.! They want to thank the community by giving back. Bring in a non-perishable food donation to go to local food banks & receive 1/2 doz donut holes FREE!

December 11: Christmas Traditions Tea with Dolores Muller
Enjoy afternoon tea as Dolores shares many traditions passed down through generations and others that are new.
Bring your favorite tradition to share.

December 12: Sip & Smoke at Elliotts on Linden
Enjoy 3 different 21-year-old scotches with bites. Join them on their patio with heaters and fire ablaze! BYOC (Bring your own cigar!) Please call for reservations.

December 14: Free Port Tasting
Stop by Triangle Wine Company for a free port tasting with Barb from Ararat Import/Export Company.

December 15: A Village Christmas
What’s better than rounding out last-minute Christmas shopping with steals? Rounding out last-minute Christmas shopping with steals AND wine & snacks! Pinehurst Business Partners & Pinehurst Living Magazine’s A Village Christmas is a unique and fun way to knock out those last-minute gifts before Christmas at your favorite local spots in the Village of Pinehurst while sipping wine & sampling snacks by Southern Cross Catering!

December 15: Return of the Ugly Sweater Beer Mile
Sign up to get your limited edition glassware for the event, and come down to show off your best Ugly Sweater and drink some beer! They will have multiple events that day, including a 1 mile run, a keg toss competition and Keg Carry relay (don’t worry, the kegs will be empty!). Hang out afterwards to hear the rockin tunes of Blue Sky Crying!

December 15: Santa Fly-in and Skydiving Elves At The PIK-N-PIG
Don’t forget to save the date for the Annual Santa Fly-in and skydiving Elves at the Pik-N-Pig! Come enjoy fun for all ages and delicious home cooked food! You can even get pictures with Santa and tell him what you would like for Christmas! They will also be taking donations of canned food and kids toys!

December 21: Legends 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Party
It’s the 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Party! Prizes for the ugliest sweater. Featuring Brad Benson for live music.

December 22: Celebrating December’s Full Cold Moon at Full Moon Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant
Celebrate December’s Full Cold Moon by indulging in the Super Moon Platter for two which includes snow crab legs, fresh oysters, shrimp, mussels, clams, scallops, and King Crab!

December 22: Twas the Weekend Before Christmas at the Railhouse
Come dressed in your finest UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER or pajamas! At 5, gather around the Christmas tree for a telling of the Angel from Munich. Then at 6, bring a silly wrapped gift and participate in a White Elephant Gift Exchange! After that, play the Oven Mitt game (it’s like musical chairs, but you have to unwrap a multi layered gift while wearing oven mits). Natty Boh, a unique 2 man band from Charlotte, will be gracing us with their takes on modern rock songs on the mandolin and guitar from 8p-11p. And at 9, they will host an Ugliest Sweater competition. Winner gets a Gift Certificate!
